Three intrepid Hillingdon AC athletes took on the Lake District terrain in the Borrowdale Trail Run on Sunday 20th May. With the weather set fair, John Bignell, Paul Leppard and Martin Bateman took a day off from hiking the mountains to compete in this competition. [Read more →]

Les Collett passed away peacefully aged 77 after a long illness on Thursday 10 May, ironically the date of the 5K Training Race at which he used to help at the finish.

Congratulations to 17 year old Matthew Fayers for his selection to compete in the 1500m for the Aviva GB & NI junior team at the Loughborough International on 20th May.
He has also been chosen to compete in the Olympic Trials at the end of June.

Club membership fees have been due since 1st April 2012
Thank you to everyone that has completed the form and either become or renewed their membership.
Details of membership fees and online form are here.
Please can all active club coaches, life members and “Elite Athlete Award” holders also complete a form this year so the membership secretary is kept up to date with all contact details.
Anyone who has not paid up for membership by now isn’t insured to train or compete with HAC and team managers are reminded not to enter anyone into competitions that aren’t a member. TM’s can get an updated list from the membership secretary.
Use of the clubhouse is also restricted.

As some of you may have noticed that, unlike your membership fees, the track fee’s have gone up as of April 1st. If you use the track regularly the cheapest way is to get a pass – ask at reception.
PLEASE INSIST THAT YOU PAY THE CORRECT FEE. Track staff have been charging £3.40 to all adults when these official prices should have been charged.
The cheapest option is to get a 6 month or yearly pass if you use the stadium more than once a week. Details available at the track.
