100th 5K training race results

Massive thanks to everyone that took part , assisted, catered and supported the celebratory 100th training race. It was a good night had by all.  145 finished which is by far the biggest ever turn out and smashed the target of 100 set by Gavin Collett to mark his final race as organiser for the past 18 years. It is testament to Gavin’s  dedication and commitment to athletics, the club and our athletes that he has organised this race for so long and he will be sorely missed from these races. The Training races will continue with a new organising team next year and the next race is the 9th April 2015.

Rob Thompson continued his winning streak to take the honour of winning this milestone event in 15.37 mins. Helen O’Neile was first woman across the line in 19.02 mins.

Two walking records were set with Doug Milsom bagging the M75 crown and Harry Wild the M80 crown. To see who did what please take a look at the results here.
