Abs Fabs at The Concorde 5 Mile

HAC Concorde 5_resized

On Sunday morning despite the drizzle the Absolutely Fabulous ladies (and 3 hardy men) of HAC turned out to run the picturesque Concorde 5 mile race.

Leading the men, Captain Dave Smith jetted off despite carrying a rib injury finishing in a time of 33.52, shortly followed by his co-pilot Andy Torrence in 36.55 and Denis ‘Baggage handler’ Cavey in just over 39 minutes.

First HAC lady, Zoe ‘Patsy’ Dobbs was first to the exit door and kept with Andy Torrence, past the mattress dump and over the motorway bridge before hitting cruising height and edging past him to come in with a PB of 36.19 followed closely by Lynn Hyde in 36.35 and Karen O’Rourke in 37.29 to win the Ladies trophy and more importantly a bottle of wine each!

A great team effort saw the rest of the cabin crew come flying home with Melanie ‘Eddie’ Spencer leading the way flying high on champagne flavoured gels, joined by Debs Brown, Babz Kedge, Lucy Duncan, Lyndsey Browne and the inspirational Angela Duncan.

Absolutely Fabulous and a great turn out from HAC again.
