MENS CROSS COUNTRY POINTS TABLE 2016/17

The club committee will run a points competition over the  winter with A £100  PRIZE FUND

For the purposes of calculating points, athletes  representing Hillingdon AC will be in one of four  Age Group categories based on age at 15th October 2016 and remain in that category for all races.

Age Group 1 :- Seniors ( Anyone not  a Vet age 40 + allowed to compete in a mens race)

Age Group 2 :- Vet age 40+ ;  Age Group 3 :- Vet age 50+ ; Age Group 4 :- Vet age 60 +

 

In each of the 12 qualifying events points in each age group  points will be awarded as follows 15,14,13, etc.

15th October                       MET League at Claybury

29th October                       Liddiard & North Thames Trophy at Kingsbury

 

12th November                  MET league at Stevenage

19th November                  London Championships at Parliament Hill

26th November                  Fraternity /Sorority Cup North London Championships at Trent Park

 

3rd December                    MET league at Wormwood Scrubs

 

7th January                          Middlesex XC Championship at Uxbridge

14th January                        MET league at Trent Park

28th January                        SEAA XC Championships at Parliament Hill

 

11th February                     MET league at Alexandera Palace

25th February                     English XC Championships at Woolaton Park

 

 

Whilst  only possible for an athlete  to score points in one Age Group category,  all athletes   will be combined into a single league points table for the purpose of prizes.

At the end of season the following prizes will be awarded :-

1st  place £50 ,  2nd place £30,  3rd Place £20   ( any tie in points will result in splitting of prize monies, e.g. if a joint 1st place existed each would receive £40 and the 3rd place  £20)

If a race requires pre entry responsibility is for  athlete to ensure entered with their  team Manager.

Should a race be not held for any reason ( e.g. bad weather) no points will be awarded for the event.
