AUGUST BRINGS A VARIED 13 PARKRUN VENUES FOR HAC
With the scheduled weekly Parkrun tour venues completed, last Saturday saw HAC members at 13 different locations across the UK and abroad.
The local regular venues of Black Park, Rickmansworth, Northala, South Oxhey and Harrow all featured along with Osterley also on the tour that gets the ad-hoc HAC visit.
One regular on the tour, Mel Spencer, went a little further to Grovelands Park Enfield, only previously frequented by HAC Parkrun venue specialist Dan Spinks. Dan himself was adding international flavour in Paris to his venues, whilst Andy Parkrun Torrance continued his break from Black Park with his second week offshore running in Jersey.
Neither Dan or Andy though could claim the furthest Parkrun away from HAC as Jonathan Gawn and Grant Charleston turned up in Edinburgh and Lorraine McNulty at Castlerea in the West of Ireland and in addition was first women home, our only HAC first this week.
With it being only Parkrun number 17 at Castlerea, Lorraine might have found the newest venue for an HAC appearance had Alan Wells not run at Upton House Park near Poole for it’s 10th Parkrun.
Completing the 13 venues was Worthing where John Blakeley added a first run to his many other venues.
Be interesting to see where HAC turn up in the coming weeks.
