Coronavirus Statement

The Health and safety of all members is a priority for the Management Committee. In view of the current situation with Coronavirus we strongly promote and encourage good hand hygiene practices among all our members, volunteers and visitors at the clubhouse and track. Any equipment used should be thoroughly cleaned and wiped down as usual following use. It would also be sensible to avoid sharing water bottles. If you have flu-like symptoms such as a cough, fever or muscle aches you should not attend the clubhouse or track. Instead you should call 111 and await their advice. All members should follow the below general cold and flu advice

cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands)
when you cough or sneeze.
• put used tissues in the bin straight away
• wash your hands with soap and water often and for a minimum of 20 seconds– use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
• try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
• clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
• do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
• athletes and runners are entitled, should they wish, not to shake hands or
have any other form of physical contact with their opponents or officials

The club will be advised by England Athletics if competitions should be cancelled but we are not at this stage currently. However this is a very fluid and rapidly changing situation and we will keep you updated of any changes.
