Met League Race Three, Wormwood Scrubs, 05 December 2015
A fantastic fourth place for Hillingdon AC’s A team in the Senior Men’s race at the third Met League fixture of the season at Wormwood Scrubs sees the A team maintain their 5th place in Division One overall and edge closer to London Heathside in the battle for fourth whilst the B team have kept their chances of promotion from Division Three alive, finishing sixth on the day but moving up to second place in Division Three after three fixtures.
Mohamed Mohamed was the club’s first scorer in 5th place with Abdi Nageeye in 18th, Rob Thompson in 34th and Martin Bateman 56th. Ed Dyer marked his club debut with a significant contribution to the team finishing 74th, while Ed Campbell (87th), Simon Connell(96th) and Andy Symonds (98th) all secured places in the top 100.
Joe Carton made a very promising season’s debut in 108th with the scoring A team completed by Philip Warburton (138th), Dan Thompson (155th) and Paul Leppard (164th).
Barnaby Grant was the first scorer for the B team, finishing 194th on his club debut with the remaining seven B team scorers separated by just 62 places and comprising of Gary Horn (254th), Dave Newman (256th), Jeremy Collis (269th), Dave Smith (301st), Brett Hutchinson (307th), Mat Taylor (314th) and Dan Spinks (316th).
In total, Hillingdon AC had 34 athletes competing in the Men’s race out of a total field of 443.
