Middlesex Cross Country Championships, Wormwood Scrubs, 04 January 2014

Hillingdon AC’s Senior Men started 2014 on a positive note, finishing second at the Middlesex Cross Country Championships in wet and muddy conditions at Wormwood Scrubs.

James Laing was first scorer for the club as he found the waterlogged conditions to his liking to finish fifth. Robert Thompson was next scorer in seventh and Daniel Dalmedo made a welcome return to competing in club colours, travelling down from Birmingham to finish 15th. Behind Dan, Edward Campbell continued his recent run of good form to finish 37th with the scoring six completed by Scott Farley in 43rd and Daniel Thompson in 45th.

The team competition was won by Thames Valley Harriers with 119 points, Hillingdon AC were second with 152 and Highgate third with 175. In the men’s race, there were 165 finishers with 25 from Hillingdon AC.
