Thanks to all the officials, course markers, marshals and clubhouse refreshments team that helped make a successful event.
Roy Cnudde went well clear of his nearest rivals to win the Middlesex men’s 70+ race in a time of 40.24 reports David Smith. Second was Mick Miller in 45.09 and Doug Milsom third in 45.45. Another notable performance was a second place in the men’s 60-69 race for John Myall with a time of 36.01. Simon Claridge in 20TH (31.43), Dave Newman 22ND (32.20) and Steve Hirons 23rd (32.23) took silver in the men’s 50+ category. The men’s 40-49 team just missed out on third place, and may well have got a second place, if injuries hadn’t kept one or two regulars out. Paul Hull was Hillingdon AC’s first finisher in 12th place (30.29). Jo Miles took silver in the women’s 55-64 race in 47.29. On a bitterly cold day only a few brave souls ditched their Helly Hansens in favour of just wearing a club vest. Coming on the back of a very cold spell the course was firm underfoot with a few muddy areas.
