National Junior League – Kingston Sunday 10th July
Hillingdon’s Junior squad finished 6th in the match of 8 teams at the weekend and managed to retain 5th in the leagues overall.
Heather Gibbons moved up a distance to win the 400m with a pb of 64.1. Carys Tetlaw was close behind coming second in what was a combined A & B race clinching a ‘B’ string victory in 65.1. Georgie Floyd threw 28.74 for second in the Javelin.
Rhys Kirby won the 100m ‘B’ flat in 11.7 and the 110 hurdles ‘A’ in 15.4 , 1.1seconds ahead of 2nd place. Jordan Thurston ran a time equal to the winner of the 100m A string in a non scoring event and went on in the 200 ‘A’ to be given an equal time of 22.2 but 2nd but a second place. Jo Saissi won 800m in a classy 1.58.8.
This was all toped off with the boys doing a relay double winning both the 4 X 100m and 4 X 400m
