SAL July 14 Walthamstow


After an initial downpour HAC were drenched in glory winning the match from local rivals Ealing, Orion Harriers and Heath side.
A great team effort saw wins and good performances across the men’s and women’s teams, track and field.

Jordan Thurston did the double in the 100m & 200m with a PB for Tiberius Harris in the 100m.  Rebecca Miles doubled up winning the 400m hurdles and the flat B, denied the win only by her team mate . Also featuring in the race as a non scorer was Michaela Hutchinson making it a HAC 1,2,3. Michaela had earlier teamed up with Jemma Weaks  in the 8oom to take maximum points.

Another double delight came from Anapan Das and a debut run from Dominic Speight  in the steeple chase.  Ruben Vos also had his débuted in the SAL gaining PB’s in the non scoring 800m & in 1500m.

Rob Thompson and James Laing put on an impressive show over the 3k winding the pace up in the latter stages. James took the pace on from his team mate before Rob kicked away with 300m to go, James mounted a comeback but couldn’t quite catch him in the home straight.

Georgie Floyd ran a PB in 100m (13.80) and won the A Javelin, Julie Baker winning the B with further B string wins in the; shot for Julie, hammer for Clair Thompset and  triple jump for Hannah Wells

The relays brought the sun with the men winning both and the ladies stretching a good lead in the 4X4.
