Another record field, with 13 more runners than at Welwyn, and another large turnout from our ladies, with 7 more finishers than at Uxbridge. A warm welcome to our new runners. A fine run from Gemma, finishing 6th, a strong run from Ciara in 49th, and a welcome return from Hannah, our third finisher in 87th. Notable results in the Vets’ age groups again included our 4th finisher Kathy Carruthers (2nd V50), a vest ahead of Zoe Dobbs (5th V45), Karen O’Rourke (3rd V50), Boo Smith (4th V55), Lesley Conway (3rd V60), Jackie O’Dowd (5th V60) and super-vet Angela the leading V75. It was good to see Mel competing again after her injury.
Our A team were again missing some key runners, and finished 10th in Division 1, slipping to 7th place overall, but should avoid relegation with another good turnout at Trent Park.  Our B and C teams were 4th and 11th in Division 3. However they are 2nd and 11th overall in the league and the B team should achieve promotion after Trent Park.  But good numbers are again essential.  The Vets A team is leading Vets Division 2 by 90 points and should achieve promotion.  The vets B and C teams look set to remain in Divisions 2 and 3 respectively. Report by Mel Spencer.
