We are friendly club which operates from Hillingdon Athletics Stadium, Gatting Way, Uxbridge and offer a range of disciplines for junior athletes from ages 9 upwards.  We also welcome their parents and carers, who are encouraged to become involved in athletics as helpers, officials coaches and athletes themselves. Our training sessions are held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s for U11’s from 5 – 6pm and U13 upwards from 5.30 – 7pm.

U11 Group

Due to the high level of interest in this age group, we are currently unavailable to accept any children at this time.  A waiting list is being managed.  If you would like to enquire when we will be able to offer your child a place, please email our Junior Athletics Coordinator below:-

Alison Alford        hillingdonacjuniorsection@gmail.com

Please include your child’s name and date of birth when e-mailing.

We have a large number of athletes who train and compete regularly and many friendships are formed.  Due to the club’s popularity, especially with surrounding local schools, we do have to sometimes operate a waiting list.  If you feel that our club maybe of interest to you, please click here, and complete the New Athletes Registration Form.  Once completed, Alison will contact you on behalf of the club to confirm next steps. When you receive a notification of acceptance from the club, please complete the link at the bottom of the page for payment of the £10 joining fee.

Complete the online form at the BOTTOM of this page and pay by paypal account, debit/credit card or download the form and pay by cash.

Once you have received confirmation of a start date, your child will then be placed on a four week assessment period.  There is no obligation to join after this period. If after 4 weeks the junior is invited to become a full member, they will need to pay the additional £35 and complete full membership. The junior is required to attend all sessions in the 4 week period.

There is an entrance fee to Hillingdon Stadium. The fee is payable each time a person uses the facilities provided. This fee goes to Fusion & Hillingdon Council, not Hillingdon A.C. Here are the stadium entrance fees.

  • Children that are not fit enough at the end of the trial period will be given a training plan to help them and can return to the club

We compete in a variety of competitive local and national events,   In winter months, we compete in the Start Fitness Metropolitan Cross Country League and in the spring and summer months we compete in Track and Field events.  We compete in the UK Youth Development League (YDL) and the Alder Valley League. We also encourage our athletes to take part in open meetings which are held throughout the year either indoors or outdoors.

In the winter the sprint and field athletes take opportunities to compete indoors and the distance runners turn to local, regional and national level relay racing and cross country.

Please remember that Hillingdon AC is a competitive club. Competitions are there for our athletes benefit, coaches give up their time freely to coach the club’s young athletes, in return athletes compete for the club.

Our coaches don’t ask our athletes to do anything they don’t think they’re capable of and volunteer to help make our athletes the best competitor they can become. Competition is rewarding and fun, so make sure you get along to some of the events made available to you.
